MARTIAL ARTS FOR TEENS & ADULTS

  • "I've always wanted to train in martial arts, but I'm too old now."  You're never too old to start!  People have started with us in their 60s and 70s and never looked back.

  • Stressed after work or school?  Come blow off some steam and clear your mind to better face the challenges life throws your way.

  • Have you been to other martial arts studios, but didn't feel that they were the right fit?  We make an effort to balance our family atmosphere with active classes that make you feel like you've had a workout.

  • Does the thought of going to the gym make you groan?  Martial arts creates an active lifestyle that does not depend on one treadmill or free weight.  We offer different classes depending on your desired intensity or ability with other teens and adults just like you.

  • Do you want to feel the confidence that comes with knowing how to defend yourself and protect your family?  All of our programs teach the proper application of the moves.  You will also learn about awareness, de-escalation, and avoiding violent confrontations.

TEEN & ADULT TAEKWONDO

(Age 12 & Up)

 

Taekwondo is a high energy way to improve cardio and tone muscle. Our program works with you to set personal goals that are achievable yet challenging, with peers and instructors who are supportive of each others' personal development. Students interested in self defense will not only learn the blocking, striking and kicking techniques of Taekwondo, but also our K.A.R.M.A. program, with topics such as legal use of force, home invasions and verbal de-escalation techniques.

TEEN & ADULT LEADERSHIP

 

Leaders are not born - they are made! Leadership students learn and practice the skills it takes to be an effective leader and coach on and off the training mats.  Effective communication, service, how to direct a group, and many other lessons are taught and put into practice on the training floor.

This program is by invitation only.

TAI CHI

(Age 12 & Up)

 

Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art focusing on slow movement and meditation with minimal impact, perfect for the overly stressed or for those who cannot do other high intensity martial arts due to physical limitations. Our Tai Chi program teaches how to move efficiently and with minimal impact, preventing injuries, increasing balance, and improving sleep, brain function, and cardiovascular function. Try a martial art that has been practiced for centuries by people well into their hundreds!

BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU

(Age 12 & Up)

 

BJJ is a ground-based, grappling martial art that focuses on the principles of leverage, timing, and efficiency of movement rather than strength and size to defeat opponents.  Our program focuses on the "middle way" encompassing sport, self defense, and competition BJJ.
